What is it?

Distichiasis is a very rare eye disorder characterized by the growth of eyelashes in unusual places, such as the orifices of the meibomian glands.

It can be congenital (present at birth) or acquired. Its symptomatology is similar to that of trichiasis.

Its therapeutic approach is similar to that of trichiasis.
